CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF COMMISSIONS ULTRAMODERN CLASSROOMS AT NIGERIAN ARMY SCHOOL OF MILITARY POLICE BASAWA ZARIA
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, on 11 June 2022, Commissioned four blocks of 12 Classrooms with eight offices and also inspected ongoing projects in the school. Amongst these projects were the Nigerian Army School of Military Police Headquarters block, remodelled students canteen, and renovated block of classrooms, among others.
The COAS, in his quest for climate amelioration, assisted the Principal Staff Officers of Army Headquarters in flagging off the tree planting exercise for an eco-friendly environment.
The commissioning is one outcome of the COAS maiden visit to the School on 7 October 2021. The Basawa Community has been in awe of a series of renovations, remodelling and construction of modern edifices in NASMP and Basawa Barracks.
The COAS also visited the NASMP K9 wing of the School on a guided tour, where he witnessed some impressive displays by the dog handlers and their locally bred four-month-old dogs.
During the events were principal Staff Officers from Army Headquarters, Commanders of formations and units, Commandants from training institutions, Staff Officers and Instructors of the School, amongst others.
Dan Satch Takes the lead as Oriental Brothers returns into the highlife music industry
Ferdinand Dan-Satch Chukwuemeka Opara has started a movement of reviving the 'long-faded' Oriental Brothers Band again.
Dan Satch had made a lot of efforts recently while trying to come back to light of recognition, which appears somehow unachieveable.
In recent a publication by the NicheNg platform, Dan Satch said he is the founder of Oriental Brothers.
" I am the founder of Oriental Brothers, Dan-Satch Emeka Opara. Other members of my band, those who are still alive, are still around. Ichita and Warrior are now late. We are still playing. We are still playing with members of the group. But nobody is controlling the piracy business."
Meanwhile, ALLmusic (another platform) had deemed the publication to be inaccurate.
According to ALLmusic, they wrote:
""The original Oriental Brothers were formed by Godwin Kabaka Opara with his brothers Ferdinand Dan Satch Emeka Opara, Christogonous Ezebuiro "Warrior" Obinna, and Kabaka Opara, along with Nathaniel "Mangala" Ejiogu, Hybrilious Dkwilla' Alaraibe, and Prince Ichita. Ejiogu died shortly before the band's success. The first split within the group occurred in 1977 when founding members F. Dan Satch Opara and Prince Ichita left to start their own bands under the Oriental Brothers moniker. ""
Dan Satch has also blamed the IGBO people for what he calls " lack of respect and recognition" , claiming that they comforted the IGBOs during the war in 1967, and that they need to be recognized as idols. ".

During the meeting called at Senator Uche Ekwunife centre Awka by the senator representing Anambra Central zone, Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife today, Saturday, she told the PDP stakeholders from Anambra Central that gathered that they should make sure that they vote PDP all the way. She went on to add “Don't vote Peter Obi or Labour Party, just vote Atiku and PDP all the way”.
While she was still talking, there was an uproar in the hall as people shouted: ‘we are not even sure of voting you back not to talk of telling us to vote for Atiku and PDP for President!
She could not believe it and has been meeting key members of her campaign organization on how to solve this political danger.
Senator Ekwunife has not been her boasting self since the defection of Peter Obi who is from her zone and also her major political opponent in the zone, Chief Victor Umeh’s move to the Labour Party. Samuel Eto'o strongly rejected Matip's requests to be recalled to the Cameroon national team for World Cup.
"This is a national team. We don't tolerate people who think they are the special ones. Who only wants to be with us when they see honey and fruitfulness. We worked hard alone, and we have a big respect for players who honor this nation in bad and in good times. I myself had been in best teams in Europe, but I have never undermined playing for the Lions. I think Matip times are over, he must permanently stay in Liverpool. Those who started this job, they will finish it in Qatar. It doesn't matter who they are, but they are going to Qatar to enjoy their fruits of qualifying. No one will eat their fruits of success, but them"
